Ms. Cindy Sowles is the Principal of District 172
Whether your student is new to Sandridge or returning to Sandridge, I want to welcome each one as the new school year quickly approaches.
All students will be required to wear our school uniform 5 days per week. In the event of a dress-down day, students will be notified in advance.
Students will have an assigned google account with a user name and password. We would like parents to be able to monitor their student’s account. Therefore, we will be providing this information to parents during these two nights. Students will not be allowed to change their password. This is nonnegotiable. In the event that this happens, the student will lose computer privileges for the remainder of the school year.
There are three categories of students: 1) bus riders; 2) car riders / day care riders; and 3) walkers. Bus riders will board their bus at the front of the building by Glenwood-Dyer Road. Parents who are picking up car riders and day care transportation providers will still be directed to follow the pick-up pattern in the parking lot. For safety purposes, walkers will be held in the school lobby until all bus riders, car riders, and day care riders have left the school parking lot. In order for a student to be considered a walker, each student must have a “walker” permission form signed by a parent/guardian allowing their student(s) to walk. Those students who do not have a form signed by a parent/guardian on file will be held in the school lobby until they are picked by their parent/guardian via automobile. Again, our goal is to keep ALL STUDENTS SAFE.
Please feel free to call me with any questions or concerns, and have a GREAT school year!
