Meet The New Superintendent
Dr. Kim Nalls
Greetings to you, Sandridge faculty, staff, parents, students, and community members. My name is Dr. Kim Nalls, and I am the proud superintendent of Sandridge School District 172. I have had the distinct honor and privilege of serving as a public school educator for the past twenty-nine years, and I am so excited to begin this new journey with you. I will work with all stakeholders to create a positive, student-centered learning environment that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and rigor for all students. In addition to the academic programs offered at Sandridge, I am committed to listening to the voices of stakeholders to expand extracurricular clubs, activities, and sports.
During the first 100 days, I will meet with various stakeholder groups to listen and learn. I am curious to understand what you are most proud of and what areas you feel need improvement. I will analyze overarching themes that will set the foundation for the work that we have ahead of us. Once we have obtained some baseline data, we can begin discussions that will lead to formal goal setting and developing stakeholder teams to begin strategic planning, aligned with goals and working as a team toward creating continuous and sustained improvement.President Theodore Roosevelt once said, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” I want all stakeholders to know that I care about each of you, and I am committed to working with you to make Sandridge Elementary School District 172 one of the best schools in the southland. I can best be described as a warm, personal, caring, and compassionate leader. I am a servant leader committed to working with you to effectively meet the needs of our students, faculty, staff, and community!
I look forward to meeting you soon, and I know we will have a fantastic school year!
Respectfully,
Dr. Kim Nalls
